Also, I just remembered. We could, in theory, attach the spell to anything if we were to craft it into a glyph first.

Glyphs are arcane symbols that contain the powers and essences of all things. A glyphs can do anything from containing a single spell, to summoning powerful beasts like Cerberus.

It is the type of magic I specialize in.

Hrm... If you're correct, we'd only need to figure out how to craft one for dimensional anchor. Though I'd think that you'd have to activate the glyph somehow in such a case, so it wouldn't be a passive aura...

It shouldn't be too much of a problem. Glyphs are usually activated by flowing one's energy into them.
